Today, the World Ocean Network representatives are participating in the<br />
official inauguration of the 50th anniversary of the Intergovernmental<br />
Oceanographic Commission that is held in UNESCO headquarters in Paris. They<br />
present there declarations by youth forums and parliaments for the ocean and<br />
distribute the Passport of the Citizen of the Ocean to the attendees.<br />
<br />
Today the Passport of the Citizen of the Ocean in Russian is distributed in<br />
Vladivostok for the first time. <br />
<br />
Please tell us about your festivities in honour of the world’s oceans in<br />
2010 by sending information and visual materials to<br />
info@worldoceannetwork.org . We will promote them on our website and present<br />
them at the Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts and Islands events in the<br />
framework of the informal consultative process of the law of the sea in the<br />
UN headquarters in the end of June.<br />

Day festivities and participate in the Cap Rouge Day 2010 on June 11th, the<br />
initiative of Lighthouse Foundation and partners to commemorate Captain<br />
