IFOP y la Subsecretaría de Pesca organizaron el curso internacional “Metodología
de muestreo y recopilación de datos de condricties”, a desarrollarse
entre el 25 y 27 de octubre en el salón auditórium de IFOP en Valparaíso,
bajo los requerimientos establecidos en el Plan de Acción Regional (PAR-CPPS)
para la conservación de tiburones, rayas y quimeras del Pacífico Sudeste.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=2 face=Verdana><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>En
el curso participan observadores científicos e investigadores de
Colombia (Instituto Colombiano de Desarrollo Rural-INCODER), Ecuador
(Instituto Nacional de Pesca-INP), Perú (Ministerio de la Producción del
Perú) y Chile (Elasmolab-UACH, IFOP y <st1:PersonName w:st="on">DIRECTEMAR</st1:PersonName>).
Todas estas instituciones participan y están involucradas en la conservación
de tiburones, rayas y quimeras del Pacífico Sudeste.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=2 face=Verdana><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Verdana'>Este
Curso describe los fundamentos científicos y prácticos de los diseños
de muestreo, estandarización de los procedimientos de muestreo y toma
de información a bordo de las embarcaciones y centros de desembarque en las
pesquerías de peces cartilaginosos. Estos conocimientos son una herramienta
fundamental para la obtención de la información necesaria, para
implementar acciones de conservación, evaluación de stock y manejo en las
pesquerías de condricties presentes en el Pacífico Oriental.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

curso es de carácter cerrado y participan como expositores investigadores de
IFOP, SUBPESCA, U. Andrés Bello y Museo Nacional de Historia Natural. El

proyecto Pesquerías Recursos Altamente Migratorios de Chile, estudio que se
