<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">En
el Club Alemán de Valparaíso, durante los días 3 y 4 de mayo del presente, el
Instituto de Fomento Pesquero (IFOP) realizó un Taller de Revisión de los datos
que son empleados en la evaluación de las principales pesquerías pelágicas de
Chile. Esta actividad contempló los siguientes objetivos:</span></font></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style=""><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Actualizar y revisar el
listado de información, datos y conocimientos empleados en la evaluación
de stock, con énfasis en la identificación de mejoras. </span></font></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style=""><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Generar un resumen sobre la
calidad y suficiencia de la información, datos y conocimientos empleados
en la evaluación de stock. </span></font></li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style=""><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Identificar las fortalezas y
debilidades en la información, datos y conocimiento empleados en la
evaluación de stock, priorizando un listado de tareas a satisfacer en el
corto y mediano plazo.</span></font></li>

<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Esta
actividad se realizó en el marco del convenio SUBPESCA/IFOP-2011: "Estatus
y posibilidades de explotación biológicamente sustentables de los principales
recursos pesqueros nacionales, año 2012", contratado por la Subsecretaría
de Pesca. El objetivo general de este convenio es actualizar el estatus
de los principales recursos pesqueros nacionales (20 recursos) y analizar sus
posibilidades de explotación biológicamente sustentables en el horizonte de
corto y mediano plazo.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">En
este taller se discutió sobre la calidad de los datos empleados en las
evaluaciones de los recursos anchoveta XV-II Regiones; anchoveta III-IV
Regiones; anchoveta V-X Regiones; sardina común V-X Regiones; sardina <span class="GramE">austral ;</span> y, jurel.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Los
panelistas encargados de la revisión correspondieron a investigadores
especialistas de IFOP y sectorialistas de la Subsecretaría de Pesca. Los
resultados del taller estarán disponibles <span class="SpellE">proximamente</span>
en un sito WEB que se defina para el efecto.</span></font></p>
