color:gray">Las Universidades Peruanas están enfrentando hoy una baja
considerable de aspirantes e ingresantes alas escuelas de acuicultura debida principalmente
al bajo interés de los jóvenes estudiantes en la acuicultura y en otras
carreras ligadas, este es un problema que le compete a muchas instituciones públicas,
pero sobre todo a las mismas universidades peruanas.</span></i></div>

universidades de Chile se reunieron para analizar la situación de la carrera de
ingeniería en acuicultura a nivel nacional. La principal razón fue tratar el
bajo interés de los jóvenes por ocupar un puesto en los procesos de admisión,
lo que actualmente también está ocurriendo en las universidades Peruanas.</span></div>

Universidad Católica del Norte, menciona que se trata de una realidad que no
solo afecta a las ingenierías en acuicultura sino que a todas las carreras
relacionadas, lo que se refleja en el interés previo de los alumnos por
estudiar alguna de estas. Mencionan que desde el 2006, el interés por estudiar
alguna carrera de esta área paso de un ya bajo 0,33% a un 0,17 % en 2010, algo
muy similar aquí en el Perú, donde en el último examen de admisión ingresaron
menos de 10 postulantes a la carrera de ingeniería en acuicultura, cuando en
los 90 mínimo ingresaban entre 25 a 30 postulantes.</span></div>

jóvenes de postular a las carreras ligadas a la acuicultura es bastante bajo,
esto sin contar posteriormente que de los que ingresan hay un porcentaje que se
retira, trasladan o simplemente cumplen con terminar con la carrera. Muchos de
los factores por la cual los jóvenes no ven como una alternativa a la carrera
de la ingeniería en acuicultura y otras ligadas es sobre todo a la baja
remuneración laboral percibida en comparación con la inversión de tiempo y
dinero que hay que hacer para estudiar alguna de las carreras ligadas.</span></div>

que terminan su carrera no pueden o no lograr seguir especializándose en temas
importantes como Patología, Biotecnología, Nutrición, entre otros por la falta
de apoyo o motivación por parte del sector público y menos piensan en seguir
cursos, diplomados, maestrías, Doctorados o Ph.D en temas de acuicultura. Esto
es un hecho ya que muchas veces el mercado es tan limitado y no exige mucha
