iniciado los Comités Científicos organizados por el Instituto de Fomento
Pesquero.</span></font></b></strong></p>

de 35 científicos y expertos del mundo académico, público y privado conforman
los 16 Comités Científicos que este año 2011 entregarán una mirada técnica
acerca del estado de los recursos que conforman las principales pesquerías
nacionales: pelágicas, demersales, de aguas profundas, crustáceos y bentónicas,
con el fin de apoyar y asesorar a la Subsecretaría de Pesca (SUBPESCA) en
cuanto a la administración y gestión de los recursos.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">La
organización de estas reuniones a contar de este año ha recaído en el Instituto
de Fomento Pesquero, toda vez es la principal fuente de información, tanto del
pulso de las actividades, artesanales e industriales, de las principales
pesquerías nacionales, como los cálculos anuales del estatus 2012 de los
recursos y los cruceros de evaluaciones directas de los recursos catalogados en
plena explotación. <br></span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Esta
instancia ha sido articulada por la SUBPESCA desde la década de los años
80, en forma de reuniones técnicas, a las que se invita a participar a
científicos, académicos, investigadores y expertos nacionales e
internacionales, con el propósito de obtener asesoría sobre diversas materias
científicas o técnicas que están vinculadas a la conservación y ordenamiento de
las más importantes pesquerías nacionales.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Es
fundamental transparentar y validar toda la asesoría científica de las
instituciones, por ello se invitan a los principales investigadores, académicos
y expertos en cada pesquería, de manera de generar una sinergia de información
en donde se analice el estado de cada uno de los principales recursos que
conforman las pesquerías en nuestro país, evaluando el desempeño de algunas
medidas de conservación y generando opiniones en torno a las acciones de
investigación necesaria a futuro.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Entre
el 5 y 9 de septiembre de 2011, se realizaron las primeras las reuniones 2011,correspondientes a los recursos: </span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">- Merluza
común (5 sep), <br>
- Merluza de cola (6 sep), <br>
- Merluza del sur (7 sep am), <br>
- Merluza de 3 aletas (7 sep pm), <br>
- Alfonsino (8 sep am), <br>
- Bacalao de profundidad (8 sep pm), <br>
- Pequeños pelágicos (8 y 9 sep), <br>
- Congrio dorado (9 sep am) y <br>
- Raya volantín (9 sep pm).</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Durante
los días <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">6 y 7
de octubre</span></font></b></strong> de 2011 se efectuará la Reunión del
Comité Científico de<strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"> Crustáceos</span></font></b></strong> y para los días <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">17 y 18 </span></font></b></strong>del
presente la segunda del Comité de <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Pequeños Pelágicos</span></font></b></strong>, y
posteriormente, los días <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">19 y 20 de octubre</span></font></b></strong> de 2011, se reunirá la
correspondiente a la primera del recurso <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Jurel</span></font></b></strong>. <br></span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">A
continuación, se tienen planificadas las reuniones de pez espada y para el mes
de noviembre las rondas de reuniones del Comité Científico 2011 de
los recursos bentónicos; biodiversidad y condrictios.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Las
reuniones se desarrollan en la región de Valparaíso (Hotel O'Higgins, de Viña
del Mar) como punto focal del mayor número de científicos y especialistas que
desarrollan su actividad de investigación y también con la presencia de la sede
central de IFOP en Valparaíso, además de la buena accesibilidad desde
