campo de la microbiología asociada a organismos acuáticos, visitará por primera
vez el país, en el marco del Seminario Internacional <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">“Herramientas para el uso
sostenible de antimicrobianos en la industria salmonicultora”</span></font></b></strong>,
organizado por el Departamento de Salud Hidrobiológica del Instituto de Fomento
Pesquero, IFOP, y que se llevará a cabo el próximo 27 de octubre en Puerto
Varas.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Sus
trabajos han sido fundamentales en el avance de la investigación en materias de
evaluación de antimicrobianos frente a microorganismos, siendo sus principales
líneas de trabajo desarrolladas en el ámbito de la epizootiología de
enfermedades de peces, aplicación de técnicas de evaluación de riesgo a los
problemáticas relacionadas a enfermedades y contaminación del medio ambiente, y
estudios para el desarrollo de metodologías e interpretaciones, con especial
referencia a las pruebas de sensibilidad a antimicrobianos.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Junto
a nombres como Alderman, Fryer y Roberts, es considerado uno de los
investigadores fundamentales en materias de patología y microbiología asociada
a peces.</span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>

la oportunidad, se presentarán además los avances en materia de investigaciones
en el fenómeno de resistencia bacteriana, ejecutadas tanto por investigadores
de IFOP, como por científicos extranjeros, destacando el investigador danés, <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Morten Bruun</span></font></b></strong>,
cuyos trabajos más reconocidos están vinculados a evaluaciones de
susceptibilidad a antimicrobianos de <em><i><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Flavobacterium psychrophilum</span></font></i></em>,
de gran importancia como agente causal de enfermedades en la industria
