Taller internacional se ejecuta en el marco de la Asesoría Integral que
desarrolla el IFOP para la Subsecretaría de Pesca, para revisar los datos
empleados en la evaluación de stock de merluza de cola. La reunión fue
reprogramada para la semana del lunes 16 al viernes 20 de enero
de 2012. <br></span></font></p><p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;"><br></span></font></p>
<p><font size="2" face="Verdana"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana;">Inicialmente
participaban como panel de revisores el <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Dr. Chris Wilson</span></font></b></strong>, experto
en evaluación hidroacústica y, el Dr. Thomas Helser del Alaska Fisheries Center
(AFSC) de la NOAA, EEUU, lamentablemente por motivos de salud, el Dr.
Helser fue reemplazado por el <strong><b><font face="Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Dr. William G. Clark</span></font></b></strong>.
El Dr. Clark se ha retirado recientemente de la comisión
del Halibut, donde fue el líder del grupo de evaluación de stock y durante su
carrera ha publicado extensamente. Destacan entre estas publicaciones las
relacionadas con los fundamentos teóricos de los puntos biológicos de referencia
(PBR) y el análisis de incertidumbre de éstos. <br>
