<p><br></p><p>En el periodo enero- diciembre 2011 las exportaciones del sector, generaron 4.697 millones de dólares, mostrando un aumento de <strong>31%</strong> con respecto al año 2010. <br></p><p><br></p>
<p>Los congelados reportan el mayor valor exportado acumulando un 60,4
%, seguido de los productos fresco-refrigerados con 17,0 %, luego las
harinas 10,2 %; conservas 2,9 % y otros con 9,5 %. Se exportaron 67.593
toneladas de algas secas, de las cuales un 66% se envió a China, quien
