district. According to Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Ajay
Kumar Awasthi, these two species of fishes are the reason for the spread of
Epizootic Ulcerative Syndrome and harming several indigenous flora and fauna in
the region. The ban has been imposed under a prohibatory order under section
