<p>Durante el 2015, el gasto en el consumo de pescados y mariscos en la UE se incrementó 3.2%, el suministro de productos pesqueros creció 4.5%; mientras que el consumo de pescado anual aumentó a 25,5 kg per cápita, la especie de acuicultura más consumida es el <strong>salmón</strong>,  destaca el informe “El Mercado Pesquero de la UE” publicado por el Observatorio Europeo del Mercado de los Productos de la Pesca y de la Acuicultura (EUMOFA).</p>

<p>Jaboticabal, Brasil.- Científicos demostraron que la “uña de gato” puede estimular la inmunidad y mejorar el rendimiento del crecimiento en <strong>tilapia</strong> del Nilo. Ellos recomiendan la inclusión de 300 mg de extracto de uña de gato por kilogramo de pienso.</p>

<p>Hermosillo, México.- El Instituto de Acuacultura del Estado de Sonora O.P.D. (IAES), como brazo técnico científico de la Subsecretaría de Pesca y Acuacultura de la SAGARHPA, implementó un innovador software enfocado al programa de monitoreo administrativo del manejo por cuotas compartidas de la pesquería de <strong>curvina golfina</strong> en el Alto Golfo de California costa Este (Golfo de Santa Clara, Sonora) manejado en colaboración con la Comisión Nacional de Pesca y Acuacultura (CONAPESCA) y con Environmental Defense Fund de México (EDF).</p>

<p>España.- El secretario general de Pesca del Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente, Andrés Hermida, ha subrayado hoy la importancia de los <strong>cefalópodos</strong>, un grupo amplio y heterogéneo de especies como el <strong>pulpo</strong>, la <strong>sepia</strong> o el <strong>calamar</strong>, para el sector pesquero  y como materia prima fundamental para la industria de la transformación. Unos productos, ha apuntado, que, según datos de la FAO, suponen el 5% del total de pescados, crustáceos y moluscos capturados en el mundo, y el 4% del volumen total del comercio mundial de estos productos pesqueros. </p>

<p>Israel.- Las <strong>camarones de río</strong> hembras, aunque más pequeñas en tamaño que los machos, son menos agresivos y menos dominantes, y por muchos años se ha creído que el cultivo de camarones hembras permitirá un incremento significativo en el cultivo de camarón de río. Debido a que ellas son menos agresivas, pueden ser criadas a densidades de hasta 40 animales/m2 y ellos crecen más rápido y de una forma uniforme.</p>
