<p>Buenos Aires, Argentina.- En el marco de la iniciativa interministerial Innovación Colectiva –Ciencia y Tecnología para vivir mejor, quedó formalmente abierta la convocatoria a consorcios público-privados para desarrollar esta actividad con asistencia técnica y financiera de las carteras MINCYT y MINAGRO.  El proyecto “Innovación en Acuicultura” se propone el diseño, construcción e instalación de una granja multitrófica integrada para el cultivo de diversas especies marinas de manera sustentable por medio de la aplicación de I+D+i. Se trata de una experiencia piloto que, de resultar exitosa, permitirá su posterior implementación a gran escala.</p>

<p>España.- Científicos del Centro Oceanográfico de Baleares del IEO, en colaboración con el Laboratori d'Investigacions Marines i Aqüicultura (LIMIA) del Govern de les Illes Balears y el Institut Mediterrani d'Estudis Avançats (CSIC-UIB IMEDEA), han realizado un novedoso experimento en el que han observado el comportamiento de juveniles de tordo (<strong><em>Symphodus ocellatus</em></strong>), un pez muy abundante en aguas costeras del Mediterráneo, ante diferentes estímulos olfativos.<br>Este trabajo, publicado en la revista Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, supone la primera descripción del uso de quimio-receptores en una especie mediterránea en la selección de masas de agua en función del olor que desprenden.</p>

<p>Alemania.- Un científico está estudiando por qué el pescado algunas veces huele a “pescado” y por qué los clientes frecuentemente huelen otros aromas cuando compran pescado. Mohamed Mahmoud, candidato a doctor en el Departamento de Química y Farmacia de la University of Erlangen-Nuremberg identificó varios sabores en el pescado procedente de la acuicultura, su objetivo es descubrir cómo reducir el olor desagradable del moho en el sabor del pescado.</p>
