<p>Desde la puesta en marcha de una unidad de cultivo en Bangkok hasta el total desarrollo de 120 invernaderos de cultivo en aguas profundas (DWC) en Etiopía, la <strong>acuaponía</strong> está mostrando su verdadero potencial para producir alimentos sostenibles en cualquier lugar. Un matrimonio entre la acuicultura y la hidroponía, la acuaponía es una manera “limpia y verde” de cultivar eficientemente plantas en sistemas de recirculación.</p>

<p>Valparaíso, Chile.- Tras el fuerte sismo que afectó a la región de Aysén, a 67 kilómetros de la ciudad de Melinka, alcanzando una magnitud de 7,6 grados y que se sintió hasta la Región del Biobío, directores zonales de la Subsecretaría de Pesca y Acuicultura (Subpesca) en conjunto con directores del Servicio Nacional de Pesca y Acuicultura (Sernapesca) tomaron contacto con dirigentes pesqueros de las zonas afectadas para transmitirles las últimas noticias que enviaba Onemi y la coordinación con los pescadores para el retiro de las embarcaciones desde el mar y posterior evacuación de ellos y sus familias desde las caletas hacia zonas seguras. Hasta hoy, no se registran daños en infraestructura portuaria en caletas ni tampoco daños en embarcaciones ni pérdida de vidas humanas.</p>

<p>Barcelona, España.- El proyecto LIFE+ MIGRATOEBRE ha finalizado el año con la liberación de 1.200 ejemplares de anguila europea (<strong><em>Anguilla anguilla</em></strong>). Según comenta el investigador Enric Gisbert, estos peces (biomasa aproximada de 17 kg) provienen de un estudio realizado en el IRTA en el que se investigó sobre el potencial uso de tecnologías de cultivo de peces en sistemas de biofloc, evaluándose dichos sistemas en la anguila, la tenca  (<strong><em>Tinca tinca</em></strong>) y el múgil (<strong><em>Mugil cephalus</em></strong>). Trabajaron en él investigadores del IRTA de Sant Carles de la Rápita y el investigador brasileño Luis Vinatea de la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina.</p>

<p>Lima, Perú (Andina).- Por recomendación del Instituto del Mar del Perú (Imarpe) y, debido a que el periodo de su máxima actividad reproductiva todavía no se ha iniciado, el Ministerio de la Producción (Produce) extendió “excepcionalmente” la temporada de pesca del <strong>camarón de río</strong> hasta el 2 de enero del 2017.</p>
