<p>El <strong>transbordo</strong>, la transferencia de mercancías de un barco a otro, es una de las vías para que la pesca ilegal y no reportada ingrese al mercado mundial de pescados y mariscos. Esta actividad también esta asociada con el contrabando de drogas y la esclavitud. Ilegal en muchos de los casos, el transbordo ha sido en gran parte invisible y casi imposible de gestionar, debido a que frecuentemente ocurre lejos de la costa.</p>
