<p>Santiago, Chile.- El intenso trabajo desarrollado por Fundación Chile en materia de moluscos bivalvos enterradores está dando sus frutos, alcanzando una capacidad potencial de producción anual de 100 millones de semillas de almejas, las que serán destinadas a emprendimientos acuícolas asociativos entre pescadores artesanales y empresas del sector. Se trata de un importante paso en la diversificación acuícola del país, al que se suman los proyectos con machas y navajas.</p>

<p>Bogotá, Colombia (@Aunapcolombia).- Como una alternativa para contribuir al desarrollo de una acuicultura más amigable con el medio ambiente en el Lago de Tota y en respuesta a las necesidades de disminuir los aportes de material orgánico a este cuerpo de agua, generadas por las excretas de las truchas de cultivo y los residuos de alimentos concentrados, las siete empresas productoras de esta especie, en jaulas flotantes, han puesto en marcha varias estrategias para mitigar el impacto ambiental de sus explotaciones.</p>

<p>Pasaia, España (AZTI).- Un equipo de investigadores internacional en el que participa AZTI, centro tecnológico experto en innovación marina y alimentaria, ha descrito por primera vez el transporte a gran escala de micro-plásticos desde el océano Atlántico al Ártico. El estudio, publicado por la prestigiosa revista Science Advances, es clave para comprobar la magnitud global alcanzada por este problema en solo unas décadas.</p>
