<p>Sao Paulo, Brasil.- Desarrollar la tecnología para la obtención de un hidrolizado de glucosa por medio del procesamiento industrial de macroalgas marinas, que, además de disminuir los residuos en la industria de procesamiento de las algas marinas, permite la producción de una matriz energética pasiva de uso en la fabricación de biocombustibles, biofármacos, enzimas, antibióticos y alimentos, fue el objetivo del convenio entre la Secretaria de Agricultura e Abastecimento do Estado de São Paulo, por medio del Instituto de Pesca (IP-APTA), y la Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (Unesp).</p>

<p>España.- Las últimas tecnologías se ponen al servicio de la sostenibilidad de las especies marinas. Es lo que han conseguido investigadores de la Universitat Politècnica de València, pertenecientes al Instituto de Automática e Informática Industrial (Instituto Ai2) y al Instituto de Investigación para la Gestión Integrada de Zonas Costeras (IGIC) que, junto al Instituto Español de Oceanografía (IEO), en el marco de la unidad mixta Unidad de Tecnología para Estudios Marinos – UTEM, han desarrollado un sistema que realiza la medición automática de la biomasa y el conteo de atunes rojos capturados por las empresas de pesca para contribuir a la protección de esta especie.</p>
