<p>Utrecht, Países Bajos.- En las últimas dos décadas, la harina de pescado se ha convertido en un insumo escaso, debido a que la producción disminuyó en más de 2 millones de toneladas. Esta escasez desencadenó la búsqueda de ingredientes alternativos para la alimentación acuática; sin embargo, con la mejora del abastecimiento de la harina de pescado y los precios a nivel muy bajo, los ingredientes alternativos necesitan nuevas estrategias de crecimiento.</p>

<p>Bogotá, Colombia (@Aunapcolombia).- Como alternativa de desarrollo y modelo en la implementación de nuevas tecnologías para la producción de peces marinos en la zona del Pacífico, se instaló en la Estación de Acuicultura Marina, de Bahía Málaga, de la Autoridad Nacional de Acuicultura y Pesca (Aunap) una jaula construida en polietileno de alta densidad. Se trata de un módulo polifuncional, con una dimensión de 9,5 metros de diámetro con una malla de 1,5 metros de profundidad efectiva, que sirve para la producción y cría de peces marinos, juveniles y también para el mantenimiento de reproductores.</p>

<p>España.- En Europa se consume a día de hoy el doble de pescado del que se produce, supliéndose la demanda con productos importados, a pesar de que la acuicultura supone aproximadamente el 20% de la producción en Europa, dando trabajo directamente a unas 85.000 personas, principalmente en zonas rurales y costeras. En comparación con otros países mediterráneos no pertenecientes a la UE, la producción acuícola en nuestro continente se está estancando, motivo por el cual la Comisión Europea pretende incrementar en un 20% la producción de acuicultura sostenible en el Mediterráneo. Con el fin de ayudar a conseguir este objetivo nace el proyecto MedAID, cuyos resultados se espera sean esenciales para potenciar la piscicultura marina mediterránea.</p>

<p>Estamos buscando a un estudiante de final de grado o máster para colaborar con el proyecto europeo TAPAS en la Universidad de Murcia durante los meses de Junio y Julio (ampliable a Septiembre si fuese necesario). Las prácticas se organizan desde el Departamento de Ecología e Hidrología en colaboración con el IMDEA-Agua, dentro del área de la ecotoxicología, y las tareas se centrarían en asistir en el mantenimiento de acuarios, el tratamiento de muestras para contaminantes y salidas al campo (costa de la Región de Murcia).</p>
