espera que El Niño costero (región Niño 1+2) continúe hasta el verano de 2024, como consecuencia de la alta probabilidad del desarrollo de El Niño en el Pacífico central. El máximo calentamiento anómalo mensual se estaría alcanzando en julio. Para lo que resta
del año las condiciones cálidas anómalas disminuirían de fuerte a moderada intensidad. Para el verano de 2024, las magnitudes más probables de El Niño costero estarían entre débil (40 %) y moderada (35 %).
