ABSTRACT
Larvae of sardine Sardinops sagax and anchovy Engraulis encrasicolus in the northern Benguela upwelling system were distributed predominantly in waters with dissolved oxygen concentrations >2·0 ml l?1 and oxygen saturations >75%.
