miembro de la Alacat/ Fiata.

Juan Carlos, sería interesante que ADEX evalue si esta falta de
asociatividad hace perder competitividad al Perú, entre otros por el
retraso en la información regional.

While the negotiations on trade facilitation continue at the World Trade
Organization (WTO), in this issue of the UNCTAD Transport Newsletter we
provide information about related recent
and upcoming conferences and workshops in Guatemala, Malaysia and
Switzerland, and we discuss whether the progress made so far at the
negotiations is possibly withering away.
The next UNCTAD Multi-year Expert Meeting on Transport and Trade
Facilitation will take place on 8–10 December 2010, in Geneva.

As regards ports and shipping services, we provide an update on UNCTAD’s
Port Training Programme and present a brief comparison of the World Bank’s
Logistics Performance Index (LPI)
and of UNCTAD’s Liner Shipping Connectivity Index (LSCI).

Finally, the UNCTAD Transport Newsletter continues to provide a forum for
UNCTAD and its partner organizations, including ALADI, APEC, FIATA, IAME,
IAPH, OAS, the OSCE, UNECE,
WCO, WFP, World Bank, and WTO, sharing information on recent and upcoming
events and publications on trade and transport facilitation.
