En lo que va del año 5 barcos artesanales se han hundido o siniestrado por las inclemencias del clima.

Estos barcos son muy indefensos ante oleajes inesperados.

La limitante de eslora de 15 metros los hace sumamente vulnerables cuando las olas superan los 8 pies y los vientos superan los 15 nudos.

En esos 15 metros de eslora, se pretende que los 10 pescadores que como mínimo se necesitan para faenar en una operación de pesca, estén cómodos y con áreas cómodas de trabajo, lo cual en la realidad es imposible.

Considerando además que llegando a puerto deben desembarcar la pesca con baldones de una forma precaria y sucia y después de ese arduo trabajo deben de hacer hielo a bordo, donde ya los tripulantes están muy cansados y sufren constantemente accidentes.

Si quisiéramos hacer hielo a bordo con ese espacio sería imposible o posible pero muy riesgoso para la tripulación por tema de espacio.

Realmente este país está de cabeza, la política está preocupada en tapar la corrupción entre ellos mientras nosotros nos estamos matando en el sector de CHD, mientras Chile pesca desde la milla 1 en el norte de Chile y al día de hoy van 700 mil toneladas mientras nosotros no llegamos a las 200 mil pues pescamos la pesca industrialmente fuera de las 5 millas, mientras los muelles artesanales principales del país están no aptos, y muchos problemas más que persisten en el tiempo...

De verdad existe mucho por hacer, este sector es una lástima el día de hoy. Ojalá pronto se nos escuche.
