Gracias por la información. En primer lugar deseo saludar a los
investigadores de IMARPE por este importante aporte.

Por otro lado, la primera investigación es de suma importancia para la
pesquería de la anchoveta; si no me equivoco (y espero que mi inglés no sea
tan malo) la investigación concluye que "las pesquerías de especies de bajo
nivel de la cadena trofica (como es el caso de la anchoveta) a niveles
actuales genera un gran impacto en el ecosistema marino y reducir a la mitad
los niveles de explotaciones se reducirían a niveles muy bajos estos
impactos"

Esto significa que debemos evaluar la biomasa que se captura de anchoveta y
reducirla a la mitad la que se destina a la harina y aceite de pescado, y
que se sirva de "pasto" para otras especies de mayor valor economico. ¿Los
tomadores de decision haran caso a estos informes cientificos?

Asimismo, la semana que paso lei que la biomasa se estaba en buen estado y
que se habia recuperado; y se atribuia esta mejora al sistema de cuotas (que
tiene su aporte), sin embargo, se olvidaron mencionar que la temporada de
pesca de finales del 2010 fue bastante irregular, ¿Esto habrá contribuido al
incremento de la biomasa? ¿Este hecho cómo impacto a otras pesquerías?

Mayor biomasa de anchoveta en el mar Peruano, significa mayor cosecha de
otras especies ¿Es rentable para el Perú seguir pescando especies de bajo
nivel de la cadena trofica (anchoveta) para producir harina y aceite de
pescado?
